This proposal by the PNG government acknowledges the country’s problems of underdevelopment and addresses what it will do to hopefully improve PNG’s economy, society, and overall standard of living for the people. They hope this boost will have been effective by 2015. I am incorporating this document into my research paper, near the end before the conclusion.

While doing research for the Oceania presentation for class, I came across an exerpt from a book. It says how some PNG writers discuss the effects of European rule (colonization of PNG took place in the 1900s) on PNG culture and society. The writers discussed their oppression in their work. It was hard to find this because apparently not many written forms of PNG literature are out there.
